These courses are suitable for those of you already working for solicitors and wishing to develop your career. It will also suit those seeking to specialise and work in the legal profession as a legal secretary/administrator.

Our philosophy is that before a paralegal becomes a specialist he or she must first become a generalist. Whatever particular area of law you may want to specialise in does not operate in a vacuum. It is vital to have a sound knowledge and understanding of the English legal System and knowledge of other legal areas also. Written by specialists in the field of paralegalism, especially for the paralegal.

 

Entry requirements

One of the following is required:

Two A Levels;

A Level Law;

BTEC National Diploma (NVQ/GNVQ Level 3 or above);

ILEX Level 2 or Level 3 Qualifications;

ILSPAs Legal Secretary Diploma;

Mature Students Welcome

Non UK: Equivalent Qualifications

A good command of written and spoken English is required. e.g. ESOL Level 2, GCSE English.

On gaining the qualification you will be eligible to apply for Associate Membership of The Association.This will distinguish you as being a qualified paralegal. NB: Students who take single subjects of either module are only enititled to Affiliate membership.'
